Interning for Bret and Danny in 2006 was my first steady job in web design. I'd go to Bret's house from 10 - 6, sit at a tiny table with Harry Potter playing in the background, and make websites all day while Bret ate mysterious looking vegan snacks out of mason jars, drank iced tea, and wrote shitloads of code while cursing at the internet. I got so much better at what I did in such a short amount of time from working for them. Years later, I still regard it as one of the best learning experiences of my life. If you're even thinking about interning for them or sending a young hopeful their way, do it. It's worth it a thousand times over.
