A Very Special First Saturday featuring the work of Artist Lucia Holm

BandsOnABudget.com presents: A Very Special First Saturday featuring the work of Artist Lucia Holm

If you're involved in the New Jersey music scene at all (i.e. you attend shows, play shows, write for the paper or read the paper) you're familiar with the art of Lucia Holm. Known best perhaps for her work with Nicole Atkins, The Parlor Mob, The Gay Blades, The Front Bottoms- and the list goes on- Holms is a jack of many trades.

"I have always been drawn to classic books, retro films and all things macabre, particularly those with a strong female presence," writes the New Jersey native. "My intent is to engage viewers and leave them feeling unsettled, and wondering what will happen next."

Graduating with a MFA from New York Academy of Art in 2006, it wasn't until years later that she took a hiatus from fine arts and got behind a camera. On March 3rd from 7PM-10PM we are proud to be showcasing her work at the BandsOnABudget.com headquarters in Asbury Park, NJ absolutely free of charge. Joining Lucia will be the Red Bank, NJ based rock band Plus Plus Minus. Check out their music here.

You're welcome.
