We love to help our customers create an awesome final product as much as we like getting to know them in the process. We came together as friends who loved music. We came together as artist who want to make art.
Smashing pumpkins, Seahaven, turnover, darci cash, rush, circa survive, intoitoverit, la dispute, fall of Troy, defeater.
We really love super small venues. We like to be as close to people who want to watch as possible. We love house and basement shows. One time we played in a kids kitchen! It was insane.
What was the first record that you owned? The first record I (cswappo) owned was Van Halen
How did it make you feel? It made me feel like I needed to learn how to play guitar haha.
What musician would you like to drink a beer with? I'd say Billy Corgan. Smashing Pumpkins. Or Kevin Drew from Broken Social Scene.
What would the name of your band's biography be? Ummm... The Eagle Has Landed. (Which is also the title of a song on our record)
What's the funniest moment your band has ever had? Once upon a time we accidentally shamed our old drummer into getting circumcised...hopefully that's appropriate? Haha. So the previous bass player of 20stories would joke about dirty things and one of those things was the topic of dudes that didn't get a circumcision when they were younger...We would laugh and be all freaked out...Our drummer at the time would joke about it with us also. It was just one of those things we would laugh and exaggerate about. One week our drummer said he couldn't jam cause he claimed he had caught some nasty cold/fever and couldn't even walk. This turned into about a month where 20stories didn't get together due to his health. We later found out that he had gone to the doctor because we had sorta influenced/shamed him into getting the surgery done. We felt like the biggest a**holes...but it was sooo hilarious at the same time.
Tell us about the most unique member of your band: I'd say...Oakley. He is that best drummer I have ever met. He continues to push his talent more than anyone I've ever met. He is a machine.
What is playing on your iPhone/Spotify/Pandora? Currently...Do Make Say Think. An instrumental band from Canada.
What's the most memorable musical moment of your life? Seeing the Smashing Pumpkins play. I saw them play with Jimmy Chamberlain during the Zeitgeist tour at my college, UVU. It was the most incredible performance I've ever seen! I've never seen a band go from being SOOOO HEAVY!! Too sooo acoustic and beautiful.
If you got a band tattoo, which band would it be? Bayside. The bayside quail. I love bayside. Or a Smashing pumpkin thing.
